Question: What age should my child start going to the denist?
Answer: age 3

Question: What is a root canal?
Answer: A procedure completed by an Endodontist that gets rid of the
infected nerve of the tooth and is a way to keep your tooth.

Question: Why do I need a crown on a tooth?
Answer: A crown is necessary to balance forces on a tooth to protect the tooth from fracturing to the point where it is non-restorable. You might need a crown if you've had a fractured filling, a very large filling, or previous root canal therapy.

Question: How often should I see a dentist?
Answer:  We recommend at least twice each year, and for some people more often.

Question: Why are my kid's new adult teeth more yellow than his or her baby teeth were?
Answer: Adult teeth tend to be darker in color due to having a smaller pulp area than primary teeth.

Question: How does bleaching work?
Answer: Bleaching works on teeth that are vital, typically the younger patient about 16 yrs old will get a better result than the older patient. due to the pulp chamber sclerosing in older patients. Carbamide peroxide is used with dental bleaching agents. Bleaching can be done at the office with the machine and then enhanced at home with take home trays.

Question: What is an Implant?
Answer: A replacement tooth that is placed in the jaw bone.

Question: What are dental sealants?
Answer: Protective coating that protects the teeth from occlusal decay.

Question: Why do I need my wisdom teeth taken out?
Asnwer: There may be several reasons including that they may be impacted; pushing on other teeth causing discomfortl not enough room; too hard to get to for flossing and brushing causing periodontal issues such as bone loss or decay.

Question: I can't go without teeth! Can I get my new dentures the same day my teeth are extracted?
Answer: Yes, this is called an Immediate Denture. The denture can be relined 6-9 months later after all healing has taken place.
